transition pieces

even though it's still pretty warm outside where i live, summer is coming to an end and fall is about to start! winter is my favorite season and fall is pretty much the start to winter, so i like fall! also, fall fashion is always super cute. i think the hardest thing about fashion is finding a happy medium of clothes between the seasons! i made a few outfits with key "transition pieces" that will help you figure out how to wear your staples into the next season!!

the blue "city mini" skirt by j.crew is literally the most comfortable thing i own! i was talking to a lady that worked to j.crew before i bought it, and she was telling me how versatile the skirt was, because it's great for summer but when it starts getting chiller outside all you have to do is throw some tights on underneath it.

colored jeans were a big summer trend, and i think that the trend will be moving into the fall time as well! all you have to do is throw on a comfy sweater and some boots, and you look polished!

the striped tee is pretty much an essential in every prep's closet. in fact, i think everyone, regardless if they're preppy or not, has a striped tee in their closet. they too go with pretty much everything!

hope this helped you with finding some great transition pieces and how to wear them!
if you want to know where any item of clothing is from, then don't hesitate to ask!

what's your favorite season?

thanks for reading!

  2. I love all of these! Especially the coloured jeans set - I was planning on retiring my coloured jeans to my wardrobe until spring but now I don't have to - awesome, thank you :)

  3. LOVE this post! I do very similar outfits with the J.Crew pieces you picked. I love pieces that work all year round. Especially the leopard flats with the navy skirt.
